The Belt and Road School

 

The Belt and Road School (BRS) of Beijing Normal University is a new school dedicated to the training of international talents for the “Belt and Road Initiative” and the construction of a high-end think tank to meet the needs of the rapid development of “Belt and Road Initiative”.

 

 

The characteristics and key points of teaching and research of the BRS are as follows: First, to help promote the “Belt and Road Initiative”; second, to serve the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area; third, to explore the development laws of emerging market countries; fourth, to promote the development of international education.

 

 

 

The BRS is experienced in school management. Since 2013, when the “Belt and Road Initiative” was proposed, the school has been focusing on training high-end management talents from countries along the “Belt and Road” and a number of excellent high-caliber economic management talents have been trained for 61 countries. The BRS offers Master’s Program for Developing Countries, MBA Program, MPA Program and other academic degree programs.

 

 

 

The BRS has a first-class international faculty. The core faculty consists of professors from internationally renowned university, experts and scholars, former political figures of many governments, international financial leaders and global business executives, including Enrique Garcia, former president of the Latin American Development Bank, Djoomart Kaipovich Otorbaev, former Prime Minister of Kyrgyz Republic, Rajat M. Nag, former executive vice president of Asian Development Bank, Zlatko Lagumdzija, former Bosnia and Herzegovina Prime Minister, and Grzegorz W. Kolodko, former First Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Poland etc.

 

 

 

 

The BRS has achieved fruitful research results in relevant research fields of the “Belt and Road Initiative”. The school has set up the Sino-Japanese Belt and Road Initiative Joint Research Center, the Sino-Kazakhstan Belt and Road Initiative Joint Research Center and the Sino-Belarus Belt and Road Initiative Joint Research Center to carry out country-specific cooperative research; visited “Belt and Road Initiative” related countries and projects for field research and report; held nearly 30 lectures on the “Belt and Road Initiative”; published a number of research reports and works to provide intellectual support for the promotion of the “Belt and Road Initiative”.
