The Delegation of Jamaica Visited Beijing Normal University
On the afternoon of January 14, Arthur Williams, Ambassador of Jamaica to China, and his wife Jala Bernard-Williams visited Beijing Normal University(BNU). BNU Vice President Chen Xing received the delegation.
Chen Xing extended a warm welcome to the delegation led by Williams. He provided a brief overview of the BNU’s academic development, internationalization initiatives, and international student recruitment and training programs. Chen emphasized his enthusiasm for welcoming outstanding Jamaican youth to pursue advanced studies at BNU, and expressed his commitment to fostering cultural exchanges and mutual trust between the two countries through collaborative partnerships with Jamaican higher education institutions.
Ambassador Williams expressed gratitude for the warm reception at BNU. He highly commended the BNU’s developmental achievements and looked forward to establishing cooperation between the two sides in the fields of education and research, creating opportunities for more Jamaican students to study in China.

Officials from the Academic Affairs Office and the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation attended the meeting. Following the meeting, Ambassador Williams and his delegation visited the BNU Historical Museum.
