Delegation of University Presidents from Russia Visits Beijing Normal University
On October 13, a delegation representing six universities from Russia visited Beijing Normal University (BNU). BNU Vice President Chen Xing met with the guests and held cordial talks.
Chen Xing extended a welcome to the delegation. He provided an overview of the BNU's recent progress in academic development and talent cultivation, and reviewed the BNU's collaborative programs with Russian institutions in recent years. He pointed out that the foundation for educational exchanges and cooperation between the two countries is solid and the prospects are broad. BNU hopes to further expand personnel visits with Russian universities, innovate exchange models, and actively explore the establishment of substantive cooperation projects.
The delegation expressed sincere appreciation for the warm reception by BNU. During the talks, the Russian university presidents respectively introduced the histories and academic strengths of their institutions, and shared their perspectives on potential areas for deeper collaboration with BNU in the future.
Leaders and representatives from the Faculty of Education, the School of Chinese Language and Culture, the School of Foreign Languages and Literatures, and the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation of BNU also attended the meeting. During the discussion, the two sides conducted preliminary exchanges on topics including talent cultivation, mutual language learning, and educational innovation, and reached a consensus on further strengthening cooperation and exchange in these areas.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the School of Foreign Languages and Literatures, where they held cordial discussions with faculty and students from the Department of Russian, as well as Russian students from the School of Chinese Language and Culture.
