International Students from Phoenix School Participated in "2025 Talent Show of International Students in Guangdong"

On December 30, the "2025 Talent Show of International Students in Guangdong" was held at the Guangzhou International Campus of South China University of Technology. The event was organized by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province and hosted by South China University of Technology. Faculty and student representatives from 14 universities across Guangdong participated, showcasing achievements in international education and cross-cultural exchange.

International student representatives from the Phoenix School of Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai (BNU Zhuhai) presented an integrated performance combining choral singing and traditional dance, titled Ascending the Spring Mountain. The piece blended vocal and ethnic dance elements, highlighting the participants’ engagement with Chinese culture through artistic expression.

The performance featured 21 international students from 11 countries, along with five Chinese students from BNU Zhuhai. Selected through multiple rounds of review, the program was included in the on-site showcase, reflecting Phoenix School’s continued commitment to cultural integration and arts education for international students. The presentation incorporated bilingual lyrics in Chinese and English and choreography inspired by traditional Chinese dance.

After the performance task was confirmed, the students undertook intensive rehearsals. Choir members practiced pronunciation and rhythm using a bilingual songbook, while dancers trained in basic movements and expressive techniques characteristic of classical Chinese dance. Throughout the preparations, students collaborated closely, strengthening their teamwork and cross-cultural communication skills.

On the afternoon of December 29, the team conducted a full rehearsal at the Guangzhou International Campus to refine details. The formal performance took place on the evening of December 30. Dressed in costumes that blended traditional and contemporary styles, the students delivered a coordinated vocal and dance presentation, earning positive feedback from the audience.
