BNU International Student Representatives Attended a Study Tour in Juungar Banner
From October 13 to 16, 2025, BNU international student representatives attended "Dialogue Between China and Foreign Countries: Delving into the Grassroots to Tell China's Story" in Juungar Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. The event was jointly organized by the Western Europe and Africa Communication Center of China Foreign Languages Press and Distribution (China Today Magazine) and the Xinhua International Communication Research Institute of Tsinghua University, with the support of the Publicity Department of the Zhungeer Banner Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Yellow River Conservancy Commission's Yellow River Conservancy Science Research Institute. Diplomats from multiple countries, international communication experts, and young representatives in China participated alongside domestic scholars and frontline representatives of international communication at the county level.

On October 13 and 14, students visited key sites including the Arid Sandstone Remediation Pilot Zone in Nuanshui Township, Juungar Banner, Juungar Mining Ecological Park, Guoli Ceramics Co., Ltd., and the Meiji Changheli Night Market. Through these field visits, they witnessed Juungar Banner's pioneering achievements in ecological restoration and industrial transformation, gaining firsthand understanding of the philosophy that 'lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.

On the afternoon of October 15, participants held a seminar under the theme "County Stories, World Hears" to discuss core concepts, scientific evaluation systems, and innovative approaches for international communication in county-level regions, collectively exploring effective paradigms for China's international communication in county areas. BNU international student delivered speeches at the meeting, sharing their perspectives on international communication in county-level regions.




On the morning of October 16th, students visited the Juungar Media Fusion Center to attend the "Zhunhui Meihao" County-level Media Fusion Cultural Exchange Ceremony, witnessing this grand event that bridged cultures through media convergence. Following the opening ceremony, they explored the Juungar Museum to delve into the profound Yellow River culture and local folk traditions. In the afternoon, the group toured the Yellow River Grand Canyon, where they boarded a cruise ship to experience up close the majestic convergence of the Yellow River and the Great Wall at the tri-province border, bringing the cultural exchange to a perfect close.

During the visit, students expressed that their trip to Juungar Banner not only allowed them to witness China's solid strides in ecological governance and industrial transformation, but also enabled them to appreciate the profound cultural heritage of Chinese county-level regions and the vibrant practices of international communication. They pledged to share more good stories about China with others in the future, building bridges for cultural exchanges between China and the world.
