On January 26, Yu Jihong, President of Beijing Normal University(BNU), met with Anna Hakobyan, Executive Director of the MY STEP Foundation. Heads of relevant departments including the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, the Provost' s Office and Academic Affairs (Graduate School), and the School of Philosophy attended the meeting.

Yu Jihong welcomed Anna Hakobyan. She introduced the history and strong disciplines of BNU and reviewed the exchanges and cooperation between BNU and Armenia in recent years. Yu stated that the cooperation between BNU and MY STEP not only laid the foundation for supporting Armenian students to pursue further studies at BNU, but also represented a successful practice of higher education cooperation between China and Armenia.

Anna Hakobyan expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by BNU. She introduced the MY STEP Foundation and expressed her hope that the fruitful collaboration between MY STEP Foundation and Beijing Normal University would create opportunities for more outstanding Armenian students to study in China.

The two parties exchanged views on the cooperation between BNU and the foundation, as well as the recruitment of international students. Yu Jihong and Anna Hakobyan jointly signed a memorandum of understanding and exchanged gifts.

The MY STEP Foundation was established in 2018 by Anna Hakobyan, who has served as the executive director of the foundation since March 2024. Anna Hakobyan is currently a master's student in the Philosophy program at the School of Philosophy, China, Beijing Normal University.
