The 2024 CCTV Spring Festival Gala program "Nian Jin" skillfully combines ancient clothing with modern stage to create a visual and auditory feast, showing the changes of dress patterns from the Han Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty. Zhang Silin, a graduate student in Class 2022 from the School of Journalism and Communication of Beijing Normal University, was among the beauties dressed in exquisite Hanfu (the traditional clothing of the Han ethnic group in China).

Zhang showed the costumes of the early Tang Dynasty. This set of Hanfu was made with reference to the murals of the tomb of Prince Yide in Shaanxi History Museum and the Tang Dynasty brocade collected by the Ethnic Costume Museum of Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology.
Zhang Silin said that she began to contact the restored Hanfu at the beginning of 2023, and was very honored and excited to participate in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, and to show the beauty of the classical patterns with her peers."I believe that in the future, Hanfu will be mentioned, understood and loved by more and more people, and traditional culture will have richer contemporary expressions."
Zhang Silin, one of the first batch of joint master students of Beijing Normal University-UAE University "Future Media and Innovation Research Talent Project", studied in the UAE from August to December 2023.
