April 21st, the Beijing Normal University Sports Meeting kicked off.

The opening ceremony also featured performances on the theme of "No Sports, No Education". The performance was divided into five sessions, which were participated by more than 800 teachers and students of BNU, showing the spirit of unity, cooperation, hard work and pursuit of excellence of BNU students, and the positive campus sports style.

On the afternoon of April 22, the sports meeting closed. After two days of competition, the Fcaulty of Education, the School of Mathematical Sciences, the Business School, the Fcaulty of Geographical Sciences, the School of Chinese Language and Literature, and the College of Chemistry won the top six in Group A for undergraduates; the School of Statistics, the School of Artificial Intelligence, and the School of Government Management, the School of Philosophy, the Department of Astronomy, and the School of the Environment won the top six in the Group A for undergraduates; the College of Water Sciences, the Department of Education, the School of Law, the School of the Environment (tied for the fourth place), the School of Statistics (tied for the fourth place), and Geography Faculty of Science, School of Marxism won the top six in the postgraduate group; College of Physical Education and Sports, Department of Education, Department of Geographical Sciences, Department of Psychology, the Business School, School of Law, School of Marxism, Department of Astronomy, School of Statistics, School of Art and Communication won the "Top Ten Group Performance Award" for students.

The staff sports meeting is organized by the school union. In the competition, the Department of General Affairs, Beijing Normal University Assets Management Co., Ltd., Office II, Library, Office I, and Experimental Primary School won the top six places in Group A of the staff sports meeting; the Department of Astronomy, School of Government Management, School of System Science, China The Institute of Education and Social Development, the School of Physical Education and Sports, and the School of Nuclear Science and Technology won the top six in Group B of the staff sports meeting; the Department of General Affairs, Beijing Normal University Assets Management Co., Ltd., Office II, Library, Experimental Primary School, China The Institute of Education and Social Development, the Department of Astronomy, Department One, the School of System Science, and the Institute of Global Change and Earth System Science won the “Excellent Organization Award” for the Faculty Sports Meeting.

This year's sports meeting is large in scale and multi-item with an increase of 23 events compared with the previous year, including track and field, ball games, physical fitness, Tai Chi, and group aerobics. It has received widespread attention from the teachers and students of the school and actively participated in it, which fully embodies the health concept of national fitness.
