On September 20, Beijing Normal University held the 2025 alumni gala for graduation year anniversary classes. Cheng Jianping, Chairman of the University Council and President of the Alumni Association, and Zhang Yanyun, Vice Chairman of the University Council, attended the conference. The gathering reunited over 1,500 alumni from the graduating classes of 1985,1995,2005, and 2015. Alumni rejoiced in reuniting with old friends and former teachers, reminiscing about their time at the university and discussing prospects for future development.

Before the conference, Cheng Jianping met with representatives of milestone alumni. He engaged in warm conversations with them, gave a brief overview of BNU’s recent reform and development initiatives, and expressed his concern for their work and lives.

Zhang Yanyun expressed his sincere appreciation to alumni who have long supported BNU’s endeavors. He outlined BNU’s recent progress in talent cultivation, social services, discipline development.

As an alumni representative, Wang Xiaohong, a 1995 graduate from BNU Business School, delivered a speech. She recalled her years of study at BNU, and called on all alumni to remain true to their original aspirations, carry forward the BNU spirit, and live up to the expectations of both their alma mater and the times.

The Alumni Association specially produced a commemorative microfilm. The entire event was also documented and shared through a live photo stream.

The event aimed to strengthen the enduring bond between alumni and BNU, enhance alumni’s sense of belonging and identity, and unite their strength in support of BNU’s development. The event received strong support from various schools and administrative offices and was warmly welcomed and highly appreciated by the alumni community.
