On April 9, a delegation led by Luis Leopold, Vice Rector of the University of the Republic of Uruguay (UDELAR), visited Beijing Normal University (BNU). Vice President Chen Xing received the delegation.

Chen Xing expressed his welcome to outstanding young students from Uruguay to pursue their studies at BNU. He hoped to enhance mutual understanding between the two sides through platforms and flagship international programs such as the Institute of Global Teacher Development, the “Looking China” Youth Film Project, and the Global Smart Education Conference.

Luis Leopold expressed his hope to initiate exchanges and cooperation with BNU, starting with the discipline of psychology.

Sebastián Bandera, Consul of the Embassy of Uruguay in China, accompanied the delegation during the visit. The relevant person from the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation and Faculty of Psychology attended the meeting and participated in the discussion.
