Beijing Normal University Zhuhai Campus Hosts Press Conference for the 7th China Education Innovation Expo
On October 15, the press conference for the 7th China Education Innovation Expo was held at the Zhuhai campus of Beijing Normal University.
The first China Education Innovation Expo, hosted by BNU, was launched in 2015. Over the past decade, the Expo has showcased nearly 10,000 educational innovations from both China and abroad, attracted more than one million visitors and professional participants, and has grown into an influential national event as well as an important platform for China’s educational innovation to connect with the world.
The 7th China Education Innovation Expo, themed "Convergence · Sharing · Innovation — Advancing Innovation in Education for a Better Future", will be held from November 15 to 17, 2025, at the Zhuhai International Convention and Exhibition Center. This year's expo will feature an exhibition area of over 30,000 square meters, with nearly 2,000 participating institutions, more than 50 forums, and over 1,000 workshops, showcasing the vibrant power of educational innovation in China.
At the press conference, Wang Shoujun, BNU Executive Vice President, delivered a speech and introduced the preparations for this Expo as well as the highlights of the Expo.

Lin Rituan, Deputy Secretary-General of the People's Government of Zhuhai, said in his speech that the comprehensive cooperation between Zhuhai and Beijing Normal University has become a model. Since the Expo was relocated to Zhuhai in 2018, it has grown into the largest and most influential education innovation platform in China. He said that Zhuhai will spare no effort to provide excellent service and support, attract more high-quality educational resources to gather in Zhuhai, and create a regional model for high-quality educational development.
The ten-year development of the Expo is a microcosm of China's educational reform practices. Its growth is attributed to the support of all sectors of society, which has developed into an important bond for promoting educational exchange and innovation.During the keynote speech session, Shen Jiliang, Professor from BNU, noted that the rapid development of artificial intelligence is not only empowering education but also presenting challenges, reshaping the ecosystem of basic education. He said that the Expo has built a broader communication platform for solving these educational practice problems.
Li Guolian, the vice mayor of Karamay City, reflected on her personal journey of growing together with the Expo. She looks forward to sharing the innovative experiences of education in border areas and drawing on the wisdom of the whole country at the Expo, so as to contribute more to promoting the modernization of China's education.
Building on the achievements of previous editions, the 7th China Education Innovation Expo presents four distinctive highlights. First, it focuses more on core issues; The second is to emphasize interactive experience; The third is to build a sustainable innovation platform; The fourth is to promote multi-party collaboration.
Standing at the new historical starting point, the Expo will continue to pool wisdom and strength, injecting powerful momentum into promoting high-quality educational development and accelerating the building of a strong education nation.
