Members of the School of Artificial Intelligence of BNU Win Two Prestigious Academic Awards in the Field of Computer Science

Recently, two young faculty members from the School of Artificial Intelligence have achieved remarkable success in the selection of prestigious academic awards in the field of computer science.


Faculty member Zhong Fangwei has been awarded the "Rising Star Award" by the ACM China SIGAI (Chinese Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Artificial Intelligence). Additionally, the project led by another faculty member, Bai Lu, has won the Third Prize in Natural Sciences at the 2025 China Computer Federation (CCF) Science and Technology Achievement Awards.

The “ACM China SIGAI Rising Star Award” is an authoritative award established by the ACM China SIGAI (Chinese Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Artificial Intelligence). It aims to recognize young scholars who have obtained a Ph.D. in computer science or related fields within the past seven years and have made significant and innovative contributions in theory, methods, or systems in the field of artificial intelligence. The award specifically honors those working at universities or research institutes in mainland China.


The "CCF Science and Technology Achievement Award" is granted to outstanding achievements in the fields of computer science, technology, or engineering that involve significant discoveries, inventions, or original innovations, and have a certain degree of international influence in related fields. The Natural Sciences category specifically recognizes theoretical breakthroughs or original research achievements in fundamental or applied basic research within the field of computer science and related areas, as well as major or significant scientific discoveries.
