The Delegation From National Research University Higher School of Economics Visited Beijing Normal University

On the morning of March 25, the delegation from National Research University Higher School of Economics(HSE), led by President Nikita Anisimov and Vice President Victoria Panova, visited Beijing Normal University (BNU). BNU President Yu Jihong met with the guests at the Main Building, with Vice President Chen Xing presiding over the talks.


Yu Jihong extended a warm welcome to Nikita Anisimov and his delegation. She reviewed the academic exchanges between BNU and Russian universities, highlighting BNU's recent achievements in teaching, scientific research, and internationalization. She expressed hope that both universities would expand collaborative fields under the renewed cooperation framework agreement, deepen fundamental scientific collaboration between China and Russia in the new era, and further promote bilateral cultural exchanges.



Nikita Anisimov thanked BNU for its hospitality, emphasizing HSE's strong commitment to cooperation with Chinese universities onthe background of good neighborliness and friendship between China and Russia. He noted that BNU and HSE were highly aligned in the concepts of innovative discipline development and open school-running cooperation, and looked forward to deepening cooperation between the two universities to jointly promote sustainable development.



During the meeting, the two universities formally renewed their university-level macro cooperation agreement.



The discussions were attended by representatives from BNU's School of Foreign Languages and Literatures, School of Mathematical Sciences, School of Artificial Intelligence, School of Physics and Astronomy, and the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, who engaged in in-depth exchanges with the Russian delegation on future collaborations.



HSE is an important member of the Russian modern higher education system. The school is renowned for its subjects of economics, management, sociology, computer science and information technology, and enjoys a high reputation in Russia and even internationally. The school has campuses in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Perm, with a total of more than 40,000 students.
