BNU 2022 Sports Day held
On the morning of April 22, the BNU 2022 Sports Day kicked off with the theme of “No sports, no education – 120-year-old BNU rejuvenating the nation through education”.
In addition, the opening ceremony also carried out a display of learning and training achievements with various content and rich forms. The exhibition is divided into four sessions, namely “Spirit of the Dragon, Strength of the Lion”, “Light and Agile, Vigorous and Tender”, “Charm of Female Football and Basketball”, “Dancing Youth, Together for a Shared Future”. More than 900 teachers and students participated in this event, showing their sportsmanship of unity and cooperation, hard work, self-transcendence and courage, manifesting the positive sports vibe on campus.

On the afternoon of April 23, the 2022 Sports Day of BNU closed. The School of Foreign Languages and Literature, the Faculty of Education, the School of Economics and Resource Management, the School of Mathematical Sciences, the Faculty of Psychology, and the Faculty of Geographical Science won the top six in the undergraduate group A; the School of Statistics, the School of Government, the School of Artificial Intelligence, the School of Environment, the School of Philosophy, and the College of Life Sciences won the top six in the undergraduate group B; the College of Water Sciences, the Faculty of Education, the Law School, the School of Environment, the School of Marxism, and the School of Philosophy won the top six in the graduate group. The Faculty of Geographical Science, the School of Foreign Languages and Literature, the School of Journalism and Communication, the College of Life Sciences, the School of Government, the Faculty of Education, the School of Economics and Resource Management, the School of Statistics, the School of Arts and Communication, and the College of Water Sciences won the Top Ten Group Performance Awards.
The faculty games themed on Welcoming the 120th anniversary of BNU. On April 22, four groups of different genders and ages were divided. In each group, faculty had four physical fitness items and six personal and mixed fun projects. This year, the number of pre-registered staff from various departments is nearly 2600, the actual number of participants in physical fitness items and individual, mixed fun projects exceeded 1800. The pre-registration and actual participation number reached a new high.
Under normalized epidemic prevention and control, the games were carried out in strict accordance with the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, and streamlined the opening ceremony process and content. All competition items were carried out outdoors, the competition venue was equipped with body temperature measurement equipment, and it is required to lessen gathering. The Sport Day set up fun athletics, fun balls, healthy physical fitness, Tai Chi, team aerobics and other competitions to encourage and guide students to participate, adhere to exercise, enhance physical fitness and immunity, and inspire them to devote themselves to daily learning and life with a high-spirited, healthy and positive physical and mental state. The Sports Day received widespread attention from teachers and students, with more than 8400 people participating in various events. A total of 426 individual and team champions were granted.
