BNU women's volleyball team won the third place in the Capital University Volleyball Challenge

BNU high-level women's volleyball team won the third place in the 2021 Capital Higher Education Sunshine Sports Volleyball Challenge (Group A), which was held at Beijing Jiaotong University from December 5 to December 19.



In this competition, the BNU women's volleyball team started with a new lineup, a group of young players who played the game with full courage and perseverance. Although the group stage started unfavorable, in the key battle with Tsinghua University, team BNU quickly adjusted its state, executed the strategies of the team leader and the coach and played with its rhythm and characteristics. BNU finally won by 3:0, and qualified as the second place in the group.



In the crossover match, team BNU was defeated by Minzu University of China (MUC) by 1:3. In the face of the ferocious and flexible offense from MUC, BNU team members encouraged each other on the field, played steadily and surely, fought for every score, and gradually turned the game into their own style and found their own condition. Although they lost the game, confidence was built for the third-place battle in the next day.



In the third-place battle, team BNU encountered a strong opponent, Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE). Facing the former rival, BNU fully prepared themselves for a hard fight. In the first set, the players took the lead to suppress their rival and won the set by 25:15. In the second set, BNU players started from scratch and played steadily. When team CUFE adjusted their state and caught up, the BNU coach called a prompt time-out to stabilize the players. Team BNU was not afraid of its rival and take over the game, winning the second set by 25:22. At the beginning of the third set, stricken by their opponents, BNU struggled and played well with their own strengths, and finally won by 26:24. In the end, BNU won the game by 3:0, and got the third place in this competition.
