“Together for a Shared Future”: BNU held experience activities for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympic Games
On December 5th, the International Volunteer Day, BNU Committee of CYLC held experience activities for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympic Games, themed “Together for a Shared Future”.
Accompanied by the theme motto song for the Winter Olympics Together for a Shared Future, BNU teachers and students participated in three activities, namely “Winter Olympics Competition Items Contest”, “Winter Olympics Volunteer Knowledge Contest” and “Shooting with Winter Olympics Elements”.
In the Winter Olympics Competition Items Contest, teachers and students played sports like land curling, ice croquet and ice hockey, which enabled them to closely feel the charm of ice sports. As for the Winter Olympics Volunteer Knowledge Contest, some students had a Q&A on the volunteer service of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, knowledge of Olympic sports and the cultural life in China and other divisions. The contest expanded their knowledge and their awareness of the responsibilities BNU would carry in the Winter Olympics. In the Shooting with Winter Olympics Elements, some other students took photos of their smiles with cameras, phones and Polaroids, sending sincere wishes to the Winter Olympics.
Conforming to the Beijing Organizing Committee deployment, BNU volunteers will mainly serve for the very new National Speed Skating Oval “Ice Ribbon”. BNU volunteers have already served for the “Experience Beijing” test events for domestic and international games, which were also known as the model examination for the Winter Olympics.
In the upcoming Winter Olympic Games, in addition to the National Speed Skating Oval services, BNU teachers and students will also participate in the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, the closing ceremony of the Winter Paralympics, the news reporting of the Olympics, and services for the National Stadium, the National Sliding Center and Wukesong Indoor Stadium. The BNU young volunteers will contribute their share to holding wonderful, extraordinary and outstanding Olympic Games.
