The reciters are: Huang Huilin, senior professor of BNU, president of the Academy for International Communication of Chinese Culture, and founder of BCSFF; Tao Yuling, renowned actress and winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Hundred Flowers Prize; Zhao Tianyu, director and Chen Duling, actress.

BCSFF this year will hold a new activity called “Take films to rural areas: new era college students voluntary teaching of films in a hundred villages.” The activity will be recorded in the form of micro variety show and short documentary, which will be broadcast on the short video platform Kwai.

The launching film of BCSFF All About My Mom was screened during the ceremony. It is directed by Zhao Tianyu, and starred by Xu Fan, Zhang Jingyi and Xu Yajun, which was highly praised after the screening.

Since the inception in 1993, BUSSF has always been adhering to the aim of “youth passion, academic taste, cultural awareness,” and to “holding a festival organized by college students and of films viewed, shot and reviewed by college students.” This year's BUSSF complies with the national act on epidemic prevention, and holds both offline and online activities in the four major modules, i.e. festival activities, academic activities, selection of original works as the “Youth of Light and Shadow” outstanding films, as well as the film exhibition.
