On June 10, the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2021 has just been released. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology ranked first for the ninth year, followed by Stanford University and Harvard University. Beijing Normal University ranked 279th in the world and 12th among universities in Chinese mainland.

QS 2021 reveals the top 1,000 universities from around the world, covering 80 different locations. And universities continue to be evaluated according to the following six metrics: Academic Reputation; Employer Reputation; Faculty/Student Ratio; Citations per faculty; International Faculty Ratio; International Student Ratio.
