International Students from the Belt and Road School of Beijing Normal University Won Awards at the 2025 World Smart Industry Expo

On September 5, the 2025 World Smart Industry Expo(WSIE 2025) kicked off in Chongqing. This year’s expo focuses on the themes of “AI+” and “Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicles”, attracting more than 600 domestic and international enterprises and showcasing over 3,000 innovative achievements in the intelligent industry.



Professor Pompeo Della Posta from the Belt and Road School of Beijing Normal University(BNU), together with MBA students from Lebanon, Bangladesh, Ghana, and other countries, were invited to participate in the Expo. At the concurrent Fourth Youth Patent Incubation Exhibition and International Invention Exhibition, the teachers and students of the school demonstrated outstanding innovation capacity and professional excellence. The international students won the Silver Award, Bronze Award, and the United Kingdom Special Award for their innovative products and ideas. These achievements not only highlighted the students’ individual creativity, but also showcased the school’s achievements in cultivating innovative talents.



Since its launch in 2021, the Youth Patent Incubation and International Invention Exhibition has grown into an influential international exchange platform. This year, 234 young innovators from different countries and regions presented 126 innovative inventions, showcasing the potential and vitality of youth in scientific and technological innovation.



The Belt and Road School of BNU has long placed emphasis on cultivating international students’ innovation capacity and global vision. Through a variety of practical activities and international exchange programs, students are able to gain a deeper understanding of the cultures, technologies, and industrial development of different countries and regions. The 2025 World Smart Industry Expo not only provided students with the opportunity to showcase their innovative achievements, but also enabled them to engage with experts, scholars, and business representatives from around the world, broadening their horizons and laying a solid foundation for their future career development.
