[Notice] Result Announcement for the First Round of the K12 Track of the 7th Global Competition on Design for Future Education
The 7th GCD4FE, co-organized by Beijing Normal University (BNU) and UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO IITE), with the participation of domestic and international organizations, universities, and renowned enterprises, aims to gather innovative forces from around the globe and provide a platform for contestants to showcase their innovative teaching designs and exchange educational ideas. In the stage of the first review, the K12 Track attracted over 1,000 individuals from Indonesia, Hungary, Croatia, Tunisia, and other overseas countries, along with 28 provinces, autonomous regions, and provincial-level municipalities domestically. More than 420 excellent case-studies were submitted, showcasing the cutting-edge and innovation and reflecting the deep integration of educational theory and practice.
As the main highlight of this competition, the extensive utilization of AI showcases the strong bond between technology and education. Furthermore, the introduction of educational neuroscience injects new vitality into the competition, providing fresh perspectives for educational innovation and offering a solid theoretical foundation for the integration of science and education. Additionally, contestants in the competition have gradually transcended empiricism in their case-study designs, demonstrating the scientific and forward-looking nature of education based on theoretical foundations. After undergoing rigorous selection by the expert jury, a total of 89 exceptional cases have successfully advanced to the oral defense online. These case-studies are clearly designed and the materials are presented ultimately, all of which have produced certain implementation effects, fully demonstrating the wisdom and power of K12 teachers around the world in educational innovation.
The K12 track will hold an online oral defense on June 30, 2024, where contestants will make a 5-minute presentation one by one. To ensure the smooth running of the event, all contestants are requested to submit the revised case-study documents and attachments to the official website (d4fe@bnu.edu.cn) before 12:00 a.m. on June 25, 2024 (GMT+8).
