International Conference on China Policy Studies (ICCPS 2025)

Advancing Policy Studies: Addressing Conventional Issues and Emerging Challenges in Global Transformation

June 6-8, 2025

Beijing Normal University

Beijing, China

Conference Theme

In today’s era of global transformation, policy studies act as a vital bridge between theory and practice, driving societal development while navigating unprecedented challenges and opportunities. The convergence of forces such as globalization, digitalization, environmental crises, and shifting social structures has amplified the complexity of traditional policy issues, including economic development, social security, and urban-rural governance. At the same time, emerging policy challenges—such as the societal implications of artificial intelligence, the establishment of resilient public health systems, and the transition to sustainable development—demand urgent attention and innovative solutions.

As the largest developing country and a key player in global governance, China’s public policy research has become increasingly pivotal in advancing global policy studies. To address the opportunities and challenges posed by globalization, China must not only deepen its exploration of domestic issues related to the economy, society, and the environment but also contribute actively to international public policy discourse, offering unique insights and solutions inspired by Chinese wisdom and experiences.

The 2nd International Conference on China Policy Studies (ICCPS 2025), themed “Advancing Policy Studies: Addressing Conventional Issues and Emerging Challenges in Global Transformation,” underscores the importance of China’s public policy research in a global context. This conference aims to create an international platform for Chinese scholars and their global counterparts to collaboratively explore innovative solutions to both traditional and emerging policy issues. Through the exchange of research, the sharing of practical experiences, and the promotion of international cooperation, the conference aspires to amplify the constructive role of China’s public policy research in global governance, contributing to the realization of a community with a shared future for humanity.
