[Webinar] Introduction to 2020 Global Competition on Design for Future Education (GCD4FE)

In 1994, UNESCO held the "World Conference on Special Needs Education: Access and Quality" in Salamanca, Spain, where the concept of inclusive education was first proposed. 25 years later, in 2019, UNESCO launched the Futures of Education initiative to reimagine how knowledge and learning can shape the futures of humanity in a global context of increasing complexity and uncertainty. This year, the COVID-19 pandemic has thrown the world into turmoil, pushing us to rethink our unbalanced, unstable global education system which is proved to be fragile under the crisis. The 4th International Webinar: Futures of Education from Students’ Perspectives and 2020 Global Competition on Design for Future Education Training Seminar will revolve around inclusive education and provide a platform for in-depth discussion on visions for the futures of education. In addition, 2020 Global Competition on Design for Future Education (GCD4FE) will be introduced in the webinar to raise people’s awareness about inclusive education and let students both home and abroad know about this opportunity to make tangible contributions to the futures of education.

The 4th International Webinar: Futures of Education from Students’ Perspectives will be held on September 20th, Sunday.
