On May 17, the Deputy Director-General of UNESCO's Education Affairs Stefania Giannini, the Director of the UNESCO Information and Communication Technology Department, Miao Fengchun, and the Deputy Secretary-General of the National Commission for UNESCO, Zhou Jiagui, visited Beijing Normal University. President Dong Qi met with the guests, and the relevant leaders of the UNESCO International Rural Education Research and Training Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Agricultural Education Center”), the State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning, and the International Exchange and Cooperation Office attended the meeting.
During the talks, Dong Qi reported to the guests and the delegation about the work of the Agricultural Education Center. At the same time, Dong Qi said that Beijing Normal University attaches great importance to cooperation with UNESCO and hopes to expand cooperation with UNESCO in various fields such as artificial intelligence, brain science and education through this visit to Giannini.
Giannini affirmed the work of the Center for Agricultural Education and pointed out that with the development of UNESCO in recent years, the two sides can strengthen cooperation in the fields of brain science and education.
Zhou Jiagui said that he will actively support the existing cooperation between Beijing Normal University and UNESCO and expand new areas of cooperation.
The delegation also visited the State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning at Beijing Normal University.
