On March 30, 2018, at the invitation of world-famous World Scientific Press, Prof. Zhang Zhihua from the Institute of Global Sciences of our school served as the founding chief editor of the International Journal of Big Data Mining for Global Warming (https://www.worldscientific.com/worldscinet/ijbdmgw). Another editor of the journal is an internationally renowned low-carbon expert Professor Donald Huisingh from the University of Tennessee, USA. The editorial department of the journal is composed of more than 20 famous scholars from Britain, Germany, Russia, Romania, Israel, Brazil and China. The journal is dedicated to publishing high-quality research and reviews on big data mining in the field of global change. World Scientific Publishing will bear all the costs of publishing operations, and the journals will not charge any paper publication fees.
Professor Zhang Zhihua has been engaged in the research of climate change, big data mining, carbon emission reduction, and climate policy for many years. He has published 44 SCI papers as the first author, and published 3 first author monographs in Elsevier, Springer and De Gruyter. Achievements and viewpoints have been reported by the well-known British “New Scientist”, “Journal of Chinese Science”, “Journal of Chinese Social Science” and other media.
