On July 18th, the “Artificial Intelligence and Education Academic Salon” jointly organized by the Internet Education Intelligent Technology and Application National Engineering Laboratory, China Education and Social Development Research Institute and Beijing Normal University Wisdom Learning Research Institute was held at Beijing Normal University. The event focused on "the impact of artificial intelligence on education". The specially invited Turing Award winner, professor John E. Hopcroft from Cornell University, gave a keynote speech entitled "Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning." Professor Chen Li, Vice President of Beijing Normal University attended and delivered a speech. Professor Yu Shengquan and Prof. Li Yanyan from Beijing Normal University gave special reports. Professor Zhu Xudong, Faculty of Education, Beijing Normal University, and Professor Huang Ronghuai, Director of the National Engineering Laboratory, attended the meeting and participated in the discussion. The meeting was hosted by Zheng Yonghe, a professor at Beijing Normal University. Teachers, students and related business representatives from universities such as Tsinghua University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Capital Normal University and Beijing Normal University participated in the event.
