On June 26, 2018, Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters Intellectual Property and Technology Division) released the latest 2017 Citation Reports (JCR). The report shows that the International Journal of Disaster Risk Science 2017 impact factor reached 2.225, in the three disciplines of GeoScience, Meteorology & Atmospheric Sciences, and Water Resources. All entered the Q2 area.
The journal was founded in September 2010 by Beijing Normal University and undertaken by the Institute of Disaster Reduction and Emergency Management of the Department of Geography. Professor Shi Peijun and Professor Carlo Jaeger are editors of the journal, Dr. Li Ying is the editorial director, and Dr. Du Juan is the responsible editor. The scholars in the field of earth sciences from 12 countries around the world are editors. The journal was jointly published by the German Springer Publisher and Beijing Normal University Press (open access). The magazine was included in the SCI database in 2015 and is currently included in 23 international and domestic search citation systems including SCI, Scopus, Geobase, GeoRef, OCLC, and CSCD.
