On March 7, Robert F. Cox, senior minister of the International Exchange Department of Purdue University, visited our school. Vice President Zhou Zuoyu met with guests. Relevant person in charge of the Department of Psychology, Graduate School and International Exchange and Cooperation Department attended the meeting.
Zhou Zuoyu briefed the guests on the general situation of the disciplines and the construction of the Zhuhai campus and hoped that the two universities would further expand cooperation in teaching and research. He pointed out that the establishment of the "China-US Youth Makers Exchange Center" will effectively promote the exchange of innovation and entrepreneurship between Chinese and American students and promote the innovation and entrepreneurship education reform in Chinese universities. He invited Purdue University representatives to participate in the unveiling ceremony of the "China-US Youth Makers Exchange Center" that will be held in coming August. At the meeting of this time, the two sides reached consensus on academic exchange visits and cooperation in running schools and established long-term strategic cooperation intentions.
During the visit, the delegation conducted a preliminary interview for the candidates of the exchange program of the school. And they also conducted academic exchanges with the students and faculties of the UX major from Department of Psychology through the theme lectures and the results demo of UX projects.
Purdue University is a world-renowned institution of higher learning and among the top 100 in the World University Rankings (QS). The School of Engineering of the university is among the top ranks of American engineering with MIT, Stanford University, and University of California, Berkeley.
