In order to correctly implement the spirit of the 31st document, to guide students to "correctly understand the world and China's development trend, a correct understanding of Chinese characteristics and international comparison, a correct understanding of the responsibility and historical mission of the times, a correct understanding of lofty ambitions and down to the earth", on March 24, the Graduate Student Work Dept. and Law School invited the representative of the Seventeenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the eleventh CPPCC National Committee members, the famous military strategist, National Defense University Strategy Teaching and Research Professor Jin Yannan to give a situation report titled "new challenge to new opportunities and new initiatives: national security situation and planning" in the student activity center for our school students.

Professor Jin Yannan did in-depth analysis of China's challenges and opportunities from the two dimensions of history and reality. He stressed that the current international situation is undergoing profound and great changes. The Taiwan issue, the Sino-US issue and the Korean Peninsula issue etc. have brought great challenges to China's development. But also brought the opportunity. China must seize the opportunity to meet the challenges, accelerate social and economic development, enhance military defense, in the release of goodwill to show the power of China to the world at the same time.

After the lecture, Professor Jin Yannan interacted with the students. The students reflected that the lecture is rich in content, felt been educated and inspired after listening.
