BNU Style, Tai Chi Culture - Congratulations to the Taijiquan Eight Ways & Five Steps performance on the 2018 BNU Annual Games Opening Ceremony completed successfully

Tai Chi's "Eight Ways & Five Steps " is the core routine of the Tai Chi Chuan created by Professor Lu Shaojun of the School of Physical Education and Sports. This routine is after the 24 simplified Tai Chi Chuan routine, the State Sports General Administration in order to promote the fine traditional Chinese culture, to better evangelize, promote and popularize Tai Chi Chuan, introduced a simpler and easier to learn Tai Chi Chuan entry-level routines.

 

After nearly a month of hard work, on the morning of April 27th, at the opening ceremony of the 2018 BNU Annual Games, Taijiquan "eight methods and five steps" appeared on the stage. The whole routine was led by Prof. Lü Shaojun, teacher Chen Xinmeng and other teachers from the Wushu Teaching and Research division of Physical Education and Sports School. The staff members of the school’s Tai Chi Chuan Association formed a performance matrix with the students of various departments. When the music start, 400 teachers and students in white tai chi clothes and white tai chi shoes started to perform the Tai Chi movement gentle and martial in turns. They displayed the grandeur of Tai Chi's “Eight Ways & Five Steps”. A short time of more than three minutes, the Beijing Normal University people showed their love for Taijiquan and demonstrated the sentiments of the Beijing Normal University to the excellent Chinese traditional culture.

 

 After the demonstration of Taijiquan '8 Ways and 5 Steps' performed at the opening ceremony of the 2018 Games, the members of the Taijiquan Association still expressed their desires and posed for pictures taken by Tai Chi poses, either opening, or smoothing out, or squeezing, or pressing or picking. Or moving side, or elbow, or rely on, pick up "Wu", full of charm. Through the display of this Tai Chi performance, our Beijing Normal University have attracted a new batch of Tai Chi fans.
