Guest introduction:
Professor Liu Ning graduated from the Department of Chinese language and literature of Peking University in 1997 and received his Ph. D. degree in literature. He was an associate professor of College of Liberal Arts of Beijing Normal University before. He worked as South Korea language subject Chinese exchange Professor at Korea University from 2001 to 2002. During 2006 to 2007, funded by the American Fulbright program he worked at the Harvard University as visiting scholar of East Asia. He is now a Chinese literature researcher and doctoral adviser at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Institute of Literature, mainly engaged in the Tang and Song poetry and the history of thoughts, the research work of history, as China Tang Dynasty Literature Research Association director and Han Yu Research Association director.
 
Professor Liu Ning has been engaged in the study of ancient Chinese literature, classical literature and related academic history for a long time, especially in the study of poetry and prose in Tang and song dynasties. The main works are "Tang and song poetics and poetry education", "The evolution of Tang and Song Dynasty Poetry: To study with the impaction of Yuan Bai style creation as the concentration", "Chinese language thought literature style", "Spring and Autumn period history, “China cultural history guideline", and translation authored "gentle: the thought transformation of Tang and Song Dynasty", “The reflection of the Tang Song transition”.
