June 25-26, guided by the Secretariat of the National Committee of UNESCO of China, UNESCO International Rural Education Research and Training Center, China Adult Education Association jointly organized "Education 2030 and Rural Development under the Education for All" The meeting was held in Jiande, Zhejiang. The seminar brought together the Chinese Educational Science and Culture Plenary Commission, China Adult Education Association, China National Council for Sustainable Development of Education, Zhejiang University, East China Normal University, China Academy of Educational Sciences and some provincial education institutes, etc. more than 30 experts and scholars.
The meeting focused on the education 2030 agenda. On the basis of reviewing the construction of China's “Community Learning Center” (CLC), it explored the role of community education in the sustainable development of rural areas in order to implement the “Rural Revitalization Strategy” proposed by the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Experts and scholars attending the conference also gave speeches and discussions on topics such as education 2030 and China contribution, education 2030 and development imbalance, education development in poverty-stricken areas, and education for sustainable development.
During the meeting, the participants also inspected the work of “supporting the elderly” in Fudong Community, Xin'anjiang Street, Jiande City, and the Gantan International Ecology Supported by Sanshenggu, a member of the International Ecological Village Alliance.
