Liu Li, Vice Chairperson of the University Council
Liu Li, a native of Jiangsu Province, was born in 1961. Liu holds a Doctorate in Literature and is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. He is the Vice Chairperson of the University Council of the CPC Beijing Normal University Committee. Liu assists in cadres management development and is responsible for the Office of the United Front, the Department of Accounting and the Library.
Liu has served as Vice Chairperson of the University Council of the CPC Chinese Language Department Committee, BNU, as Vice Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Beijing Normal University Committee and Director of the News Center, as Executive Dean of the BNU Beijing Culture Development Institute, as Chairperson and Party Secretary of the BNU Library and Director of the Organization Department of the CPC Beijing Normal University Committee. He also taught and did research work at the Osaka University of Foreign Studies, Japan, for two years.
Liu is involved primarily in research involving Chinese grammar, the history of Chinese grammar and the teaching of and research on Chinese vocabulary history. He has published more than fifty academic papers in journals that include Chinese Language and Research in Ancient Chinese Language, has published six academic books and textbooks and has presided over five research projects in the humanities and social sciences sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Humanities and Social Science Fund and the Chinese Doctoral Fund.
Liu’s awards include the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Innovation Model and the BNU Outstanding Young Teacher Award.
